If you're looking for an X10 security system review, then you have come to the right place. We have used this system before, in fact, we're still using it. We first started using it in 2008.
We like how easy it is to install the alarm system, unlike the one we had in the past when it was hard to install and it barely even worked right. It would go off at the slightest movement, which is why we decided to replace our previous system with the X10 system.
This system has worked pretty good. If you need to have something replaced, there is a customer service that you call. However, it did take us more than one call before we could get a hold of someone at the customer service desk.
This system is completely wireless, which we really enjoy. Once you get it up in operation, it will serve its purpose. The one problem is that our Blackberry sets the alarm system off. It did it a couple times already. However, it's easy to disable he Blackberry. This is understandable when anything is on a wireless frequency.
So, apart from it taking a couple of times to get a hold of the customer service and the Blackberry setting the alarm off, we like it. It serves it's purpose, keeps burglars away and makes us feel safe. We definitely would not trade it out with any other system out there.
Our main concern is to have something that warns us of someone breaking in at night and this system is acceptable for that. If you want to protect your home, then you should try it.
